Real Madrid recorded a loss at the Montilivi against Girona. Carlo Ancelotti’s team had the majority of the possession but could not take advantage of the chances they created. Girona were effective on the counter and sealed the match thanks to four goals by Taty Castellanos. Real Madrid did their best to stage yet another comeback but this time it wasn’t to be. Vini Jr. scored in the first half and Lucas Vázquez with five minutes to go, but it was not enough for the team to bring points back from Girona.
