The club has filed a hate crime complaint with Spanish prosecutors – while Valencia said it would impose lifetime bans on all fans involved in the incident.
In a statement posted on social media – Vinicius said racism was «normal in la Liga» – declaring the championship «today belongs to racists».

When I was in Spain I saw a group of Spanish teens spit on 3 black children who must have been age 4 of 5 while making monkey sounds. The kids stopped playing and just stood there not understanding what they did. The racism in Spain made me lose faith in all humanity. It is one of the most hateful countries I have ever been and I warn blacks not to visit ever. To this day it breaks my heart every time I think about it.
