Messi just standing in the pitch will still be a better player than any good players in his position.
You just don't have to play him regularly play him in crucial matches and let the youngsters plays in the team. And that's what is going to happen when messi returns.

It's very funny how people think Messi cannot fit into this Barca team. Yes he can't run a lot without the ball but anytime he has the ball, its a different story. I'm pretty sure he will be a good fit and a good signing for the team.

I think it was all a plan by Messi and Barcelona . they didnt have money and a better team for Messi 2 years back .and they wanted to break the Messidepencia. so they put the plan to take a break so that we will built a team which is not messi dependent just like what scaloni did when he became the coach. now the team is set so that they can easily add Messi and he can do wonders with prime pedri in mid and auroujo in defence and with a proper 9 like levy.

Not sure why they keep saying "Messi coming back is going to complicate things for Barcelona", when buying ANY player even remotely better than Gavi is going to complicate things. Coz let's face it, Gavi isn't all that great a player anyways. He doesn't create many chances, he's reckless in his approach to the game to the point where he racks up yellow cards like it's going out of fashion – sometimes to the point where he misses important games, he doesn't help move the game forward.
